Mount Batur sunrise
The sunrise was nice, it was actually the wait for the sunrise which was the good part, and the sigh of relief after a strenous trek of 2kms (3 hours of walking for me).
Other than the sunrise which is the resulting goal, I do agree that another great view is the sky with the stars. I've never seen such bright stars in the night sky before.
There is a plain up the crater which looks over Mt Rinjani at Lombok, Mt Agung and the lake of Batur below. It was beautiful there.
On September 20, 2012 UNESCO has made Mount Batur Caldera a part of the Global Geopark Network.

The Eye
My fascination with big storms started in my childhood when I watched (twister movie). From that moment on I was totally addicted and obsessed with the beauty of severe weather, and last trip to Hoga (Wakatobi) on the way back to Wangi Wangi island, we approached the storm in the middle of the sea and that's the first time I saw it very clear.

Hoga island
For scuba divers, the underwater world around Hoga Island, Wakatobi, offers stunning views of coral reefs teeming with an exceptionally wide variety of marine life.
